Your Deck Is Unique

The chair on the right is simply cleaned. There is no sealer on it yet. Many people own power washers. However, removing what is on your wood takes experience, the right equipment and chemicals. We will ask you a set of questions that will help us know your deck and give you the best course of action to care for your wood.

  • What product was last applied to your deck?
  • What is the simple dimensions or the flat square footage?
  • Is your deck closer to the ground or elevated 6 ft + off the ground?

SUN AND SHADE

The sun will break down your wood. If you have a product on your deck, the sun has to work through that first before it gets to your wood. So having a product on your deck extends your woods life. When the product has broken down, it's time to clean and seal the deck again.

Uneven wearing occurs when shade protects small areas of your deck. You may have a door mat that has kept the sun from breaking down the product underneath it. You will have a small patch of strong sealer still in place. A piece of furniture or any shaded spot will have the same problem. Simple washing will not remove these areas. You need to decide if you want to extend treatment to remove these problem areas.

ELEVATION

sealed with TWP over cement patioDecks that are high in the air are more difficult to work on. It takes us twice the amount of time to work the outside rail system on a deck if we cannot reach it standing on the ground. Elevated decks will add $100. to your deck, $50 for the wash and $50. for the seal.
